So I've been using the addressbook since Jaguar was released, I still haven't been able to figure out what the "directories" tab is for. I can't drop anything into it, I can't directly add entries. I can't drop folders from the Finder, so what is it?

They are for LDAP Directories.

Lets say you work at a company. Lets say that company wants to have all your contacts for the company available to everyone.

They set up an LDAP server, enter everything in and give you the address. You can find them all "Directories"

I'm battling with LDAP at the moment. It's horrible. I'd much rather these things were done in MySQL.

Does anybody know of any links I might have missed?
