I know this is the timeless question lately...but seriously, what is the hold up in getting a new build out the door from Apple? Are we looking at June for the next update (when the current beta supposedly expires)?? Panther??

I guess I just don't understand why a new build, even if buggy or not (that's the point of the beta seeds and it hasn't stopped Apple from releasing v60, etc), hasn't been released in quite sometime when everybody knows how far the app has come.

Because they're too buggy. I've used prebeta versions (67, etc), but keep v60 for everyday use because the current private versions have some very annoying rendering, caching and name resolution bugs. They really are unsuitable for everyday use, despite improvements such as tabs.

Even simpler Apple can release the next Safari whenever it wants and nobody here has the first clue or even an educated guess as to when that will be.
