Good day, i just downloaded the upgrade for office X, and after i install it it ask me again for the registration key.
I put the original that came with my prog, and it says it dones't work???
So i must delete office and install the original.
I really would like to update it, cause word crashes constantly, even when i just leave the darn this idle, so i set it to auto save ever 4 minutes. I tried deleting the pref files periodically, but it doesn't help the crashing prob.
Is there another way out of this, shuold i go on the net, and just download another cd key, and try it, to see if that would work. or will the dam thing only work with the original cd key that i bought, but yet doesn't accept?
It is probably illegal, but hey its not my fault the upgrade won't except the serial key i paid for right? I really wan't word to be more stable.

I take it that you have an original, legal, Office X CD? (I am not sure - you refer to having to 'download another CD key'....)
If so, have you tried contacting Microsoft? I do remember reading something about there being a problem with serial numbers after upgrading.
If not, then you will not (and should not) get any help here.

Yes I do own a copy of office X on cd.
When I meant another, im meant a new one from the net, cause mien didn't work.
I tried contacting MS and they put he on hold for 10 minutes until I hanged up, I am in AUS and I think their service really sucks. And it cost money!
So all I did was to my trusty PhP software, download a new serial 5 times, 4/5 the serial keys were rejected, but lucky one really save me a lot of crashes. I only had one so far after the update; I usually get one everyday, since I use word extensively.
