I've just spent my whole rainy weekend working on mlMac.. I should go out and see people but heh

Version 0.7 should be released in about a week.. I'm very happy with it.. And you're far from having seen all the new things..
Many new, much requested, and other brand-new features are packed in..

Once again, a little shot with my post :

ok, I was a little disappointed to see these ETAs, but these two downloads just finished a few minutes ago

Whoa!

That looks awesome. Poisoned.app has nothing on mlMac.app from what I can see. Let me be the first to say, thank you!. Viva La France

Man, I really like those rounded progress bars, mlmac has been just great so far, but the interface now looks pretty amazing.

Can I ask you for one quick fix in your next version?

I have started using mlmac to monitor mlnet I have running on another machine. The problem is that mlmac changed the download folder. I tried to change it back to ./incoming but that box in the preferences doesn't accept direct entry, you have to use the Browse button to choose the folder in your file system.

So could you please either have mlmac not update the download folder if you are connecting to a remote machine or allow us to type the download folder directly into text box in the preferences?

Great program by the way, really looking forward to the next version.
Nothing to see, move along.

This is already done: mlMac 0.7 won't change the settings for the daemon if it didn't launch it.

I see that option in the "Advanced Preferences," but what is the format for the host and pass info? I've tried the dns, ip, port and all sorts of crazy combinations of stuff, but I can't get it to work.

You have to make sure the machine you are connecting from is in the allowed ip list on the machine running mlnet.

If you use the web interface you will find it under options and then ports. You can also edit it directly in downloads.ini, search for allowed_ips. I have my allowed_ips to:
127.0.0.1 2.0.234.255

The first number allows me to connect from the same machine and the second number allows me to connect from the machine I work on. Since my ip address is dynamic I use the 255 at the end as a wildcard, so my ip could be 25.7.221.1-255.

In the settings for mlmac you should only need to give the ip address of the machine you are connecting to (unless you have specified a password). As I am on a local network I can just use g3.local and rendezvous takes care of the rest (g3 is the name I gave my machine running mlnet).
Nothing to see, move along.

Aaaaah, sounds like good news to me. It's Funny though, cause I spent today more excited about news on mlmac .7, than Apple's announcements, I'm wondering that must be telling me, lol.

Cheers Jul.

Look, a full window french screenshot of FC2 :

You may then ask "What about the third download?" and I'd answer "Wait wait, you'll see that tomorrow.."
