I have got some files that a friend e-mailed me. But he e-mailed them in ace format, thinking I still had my pc - is there a way to decompress ace on the mac, or will I have to transfer it back to another pc to do it?

I'm therefore assuming that either its not possible on a mac, or that no one knows - am I right?

The only way I've been able to do it is with Virtual PC with WinAce.

Buster: Oh, yeah yeah, those guys did a pretty good job.

There seems to be a new OS X-native utility, iUnacer (see also the Versiontracker page): the app's info window says Basé sur: UNACE v2.5, etc.
Don't know if it will decompress the most recent formats, however...

Here is another program that might help.
I once did this unaced some files through the terminal from which I think was a package called PC Tools or something... hopefully one of these programs will work for you though.
