I've had problems with mails that are written in Japanese. For some reason, Mail.app ignores them from time to time and doesn't download from the server.
It's very embarrassing to get a mail after a long time and asking why you haven't answered to the mail yet...
Anyone had this trouble?
Any solutions?

I've never had that problem. Are you using POP or IMAP?

POP
At first I thought it's just one server, but the same happened with another server after I changed e-mail addresses.

I have no idea what's going on. I suggest you submit this bug to Apple. Can you reproduce it? Try to make a message that Mail always leaves on the server.

fwiw i haven't experienced this problem either. mail.app isn't the smartest about encoding choice, but that's another gripe entirely
