hi, I'm new.
I bought the Student Version of Microsoft Office: Mac v. X today. The box states that it's Version 10, but the date on the box/licence is 19/11/03 and the CD states it was pressed in 2003. So I was wondering whether this version will include all of the updates, specifically the Service Release 1 (which was released in 2002), or will I have to go online and upgrade it?
I would really appreciate the help, as I'm new to Macs and don't really know what I'm doing.
Thanks in advance.

Install it, then, when it's running, click on the Office X name in the upper left hand corner, next to the apple. Click on "about Office," and that will tell you precisely which version you're running. Then you should be able to tell what, if any, upgrades you need.

There's 5 or 6 updates that are necessary, I think. So you'll most likely have to download one or two to get Office up-to-date.
