I was running some video clips in a PowerPoint Presentation this week & most of them (5 out of 6) worked perfectly. the last one would play really slowly, skipping quite a few frames, probably only showing every 10th frame or so. If I quit Powerpoint & play the clip in QuickTime, it works perfectly, but for some reason it won't work in PP. I even tried making up a new slideshow & inserting the clip, but no luck. Any ideas on what I should be looking for as the root of the problem?

Maybe check and see what codec was used to compress the movie? Maybe there's something about it that PPT doesn't like.

if it's a small movie you might try preloading it into RAM (there's a check box for that in the Movie Properties window in QuickTime Pro). You might also try to find an older version of Powerpoint. I've heard several accounts of Powerpoint's support for mov files getting worse and worse with each version. You might try transmuxing the movie to avi, depending on what codec is used in the movie
