Hi I dont want to leave a long post but...
Basicly I want to network 2-5 B&W G3's to play the Quake3test on. I tried setting up an appletalk network using the ethernet connection but the games couldnt see each other. I was told maybe I would have to set it up using TCP/IP but I dont know how.

I got it working
All I had to do was set up TCP/IP to connect via Ethernet, and configure using DHCP.
This time once I started up the G3/400 as a server the G3/350 saw the server right away.

The only problem is that whatever machine links to the server runs the game VERY choppy. Is there some settings I could fool around with that could have the connected machines run anywhere near as smoothly as the one thats actually running the server. I would think using 100BT ethernet it should be very smooth since this can be run over the internet.
