ATI states the compatability as:

Display configurations

 CRT Monitor
 Digital Flat Panel Monitor
 TV
 CRT Monitor and TV
 CRT Monitor and CRT Monitor
 Digital Flat Panel and TV
CRT monitor and digital flat panel monitor

I'm currently using a flat LCD SONY monitor with my iBook via VGA. I'm looking to buy a used G4 and a Radeon card, and quite fancy buying a DVI monitor (such as a used Graphite Apple 15" Studio Display) to accompany the Sony, and use the iBook on its own.

I just need the definitions explained... ATI says:

CRT monitor and digital flat panel monitor

The DVI would be the latter, right? Can my VGA Sony be considered CRT as it uses a VGA connection, not a digital one? (I'm guessing here!) I know CRTs are 'big' (pardon my lack of technicalities!) and the Sony is flat, but will it work?

Simply connect your Sony to the VGA port of the Radeon, it will work.
