Good day!
Just a quick question. With all the speculation regarding Panther upgrades/discounts, I was wondering whether the green coupons that came with my G5 delivered yesterday (UK Dual G5 CTO 24/07/03) suggested some deal or discount?
Apologies if this is has been posted in the wrong forum.

Congrats on getting your Dual 2.0, escp. in the UK! I'm actually very interested in the answer to your Q as well, but I'm not sure there's a definite answer.

Indeed I was pleasantly suprised by the efficiency of ordering direct from Apple Store Ireland. I was quoted 7-10 week and was delighted to have it ship by the 8th week. I have read with concern the delays that you US customers are experiencing and expected good old Blighty to be in a worse position.
Guess there is something good about living in the UK after all!!!!!

A question - how long did delivery take? ie how long between getting a 'your order has shipped' email and it actually arrived at your door?
I'm in the UK, got an email saying my dual had shipped on Tuesday 23... but no sign of it yet.
Great to hear they're actually arriving...

AFAIK, Power Macs always come with coupons some sort. Sometimes they mean something, sometimes they don't.
I would guess that as Apple has not announced Mac OS X 10.3 Panther yet, and you've bought the machine, you'll be obliged to pay for the upgrade when it arrives in November.

I was informed by email on Saturday 20th and it arrived yesterday (23rd)!
I have sold off my P4 3.0HT 875P Dual DDR 1GB RADEON 9700pro PC for this Mac as I am about done with the anorak-tastic ethos associated with PC ownership! Says he who sells the darn stuff!
Quite frankly, I am amazed by the build quality of Apple's computers and expect it to last me for a long time!
