I have been using a 500 mhz iBook for the last 2+ years. I feel that I need to upgrade, but the G5's are out of my price range. I do mostly web development, digital image manipulation, and soon, audio recording. Although I use Photoshop and Virtual PC fairly regularly, I can get by on the iBook, so I don't need the fastest machine ever.

I considered an eMac, but I would like to have something that I can put PCI cards in. So I'm looking at used G4s. I was trying to spend less than $1000. I already have a screen, so this is just for the computer itself.

So the I'm looking at Quicksilver range Power Macs- probably one of the single 933 models or something similar. (Also, they have the best cases I think.) These seem to go for about $800-900 on eBay. Is this a good deal, or should I save up for a while and try to get something else?
We need less Democrats and Republicans, and more people that think for themselves.
