A friend has a 733mhz QS Mac with the standard internal CD-RW drive. He wants a DVD recorder but would rather not have an external one if possible. I've seen this Pioneer on ebay for a pretty good price, but would it be fully compatible with his Mac, and more to the point, the QS has the nice rounded-end flap over the drawer, would this work with it OK? Do you just slide off the end of the DVD drawer to make it compatible? Would it work with iTunes and Toast OK? Any help appreciated!
Just put it in and it will fit. As far as software compatibility, for now you'll have to download Patchburn to get it to work normally, but Apple will probably put support for the drive in their next OS update.
