I have a friend that has a Sony DW-U18a DVD burner will it work in my 667 powermac to replace the CD-RW?

Ought to work fine may need patch burn III to use DVD-R features. This drive can be flashed with Sony DRU-700 or Lite-On SOHO-832S firmare to become DVD+R DL capable
