I saw a few posts on Apple's forums, but wondered if anyone else has had issues with their G5.
If i shut down my G5 for more than a few minutes, it won't boot. It turns on, and some of the fans spin, but i don't get the boot chime.
Someone suggested that it could be insufficient power from the wall so i got a CyberPower UPS with line filtering, which didn't seem to make a difference.
I found a site that suggested resetting the power manager and that is the only thing that has managed to get my machine running again. Everything runs great otherwise. It sleeps fine, runs fine etc. Mostly i just leave it on so it isn't an issue but at some point i need to send it in (but not right now cause i always seem to have work coming in!) I have to reset the power manager a few times (after each attempt to boot) before i can use my machine again.
For now i was just wondering if others have had this issue and if you have any suggestions that could help until i can send it in to Apple. Thanks!
