when i plug my usb key drive (Iomega 128MB) into the keyboard (brand new, the one that came with my G5) the little light on it comes on then goes out and the computer does not recognize it. i tried swiching to the other keyboard usb port; it works at first but when i plug the mouse back in it stops working as if the key drive were pulled out and i get the warning about pulling out before ejecting. any ideas? please and thanks.

Have you tried the USB port on the computer? The keyboard port is lower-powered; typically, flash drives are okay with this but yours may be an exception.

Interesting, what makes you draw that conclusion?

it's covered in the iPod shuffle manual.

also, my keyboard is plugged into the monitor, not the tower.
