Yea, this is my first Apple computer since I'm a new switcher. I can't wait to get my hands on this baby I can also finally stop using that hotmail and start using .mac. I've been waiting to get this powerbook so I can switch my e-mail address because the junk mail is driving me nuts in hotmail. I will be using this for all my main computer needs, but will still be using my pc from time to time for gaming. But I'll try to do as much gaming on mac as possible, like if there is a game I can get for mac instead of pc, then I'll get the mac version. Oh, I'll also be making my first webpage as well using .mac ^_^ This is going to be a fun ride as my wait is finally over...

Perhaps the 1gig of RAM was a popular BTO config and they just shipped a big batch of them?

Indianapolis is, I believe, a huge Fed Ex place and things come there and then get redistributed. It was great for me, because I'm in suburban Chicago. A month ago, my 12-in PB hit Indianapolis, went right to O'Hare, from there to Aurora and then to me in Geneva, all within a perhaps 8-hour time frame!

Ah, I love seeing all these posts. It's so remininiscent of those of us desperating awaiting 12-in PBs 5 weeks ago. We were just as crazed as you are now.

Beht

I ordered my 17" Powerbook on Jan. 7 with the standard 512MB of RAM and have yet to recieve my machine. They are telling me 3/21 or before.

I hope that the BTO orders are being taken care of, but I would like to think that shipping the machines as is with 512MB would be easier and faster for them to do.

Grrr...
