PowerBook G4 867MHz/256MB/40GB/SuperDrive/E/12"TFT

Can someone tell me about this Powerbook...when it was released? Is it reliable? I am considering a refurb and I am wondering if it is much better than my iBook 900MHz/128/40gb/combo/12.1

I have the said powerbook and while it's a nice machine, it isn't *that* much faster than your ibook. If you're going to be doing a lot of graphics work or burning dvd's then it might be worth the upgrade. I would suggest maxing out the ram in your ibook (640 mb) and waiting until the next revision or two before upgrading. You would, however, notice a difference with the 1 ghz powerbook.

I hope you are not running OS X on 128 MB of RAM....

It's a nice machine...I've got those exact specs....although I could use some more ram in it

I don't think it would be worth getting one if you already have a 900 mhz iBook...just spend some money on jacking up the ram in the iBook...
