Hi there, future switcher here.

I am curious if anyone is succesfully using a Powerbook for speech recognition, either using iListen (www.macspeech.com) or IBM's ViaVoice (now distributed by www.scansoft.com).

I am a physician using a Pentium-M 1.6 laptop and Dragon's Naturally Speaking for my daily notes/letters. I have been considering a Powerbook purchase for some time and this is the only remaining hurdle.

I am particularly interested in comments on integration with Word, the ability for custom scripts/macros, as well as general accuracy/ease of use.

Thanks very much,

Mike

Frankly: dictation software on the Mac is at least a generation behind what you can get on the PC.
