OK drawing a blank here so thought I'd ask...

Got a customer with an iPad. He doesn't have a computer of any kind, or easy access to one.

He does have two videos that he had transcribed from 8mm cine onto DVD, which I then ripped off the DVD's for him so they are now 850Mb Mp4's.

He want's to get these onto his iPad so he can edit them in iMovie and make some presentations in keynote, However actually getting the movies onto hi pad is proving problematical.

Could do it via iTunes on my Mac but that would require wiping the iPad and re associating it with my iTunes library in order to sync. Have tried using apple camera connection kit but the size of movies seems ti be limited as it sees smaller videos but not the two large ones.

Dropbox can get the movies onto the iPad as playable files but iMovie can't see them.

Any ideas?

Either the Camera connection kit or Dropbox should work. Likely there is something in the format that makes iMovie not accept them.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

What P said. Twiddle with the encoding.

Are you using Handbrake?
