OK - so i ordered myself a refurb ipod. after waiting in agony for 1 week for FedEx (when my Amazon accessories ordered with super-saver shipping got here w/in 3 days), it got here today. i open the box, and the USB cable is in pieces. It's bent all to hell and the 2 little white pieces aren't even attached (at first i thought "oh, some bonus thing!," but no.). I did manage to hook it up to my comp so i can use it, but it comes out of my comp all separately and is just not good.
so i did a repair request on apple's site, agreed to the $19 fee - which i took to understand that they will only charge me if i fail to return the broken USB cable when they send me the new one and return packaging/info. But after clicking all the OKs, now it seems like they are just charging me $19 to replace something which they sent me broken! It has already been taken out f my account. WTF?! Will I be reimbursed?? Do I need to call??
