All these rumours about the new iPhone.... but will the Touch get a revamp? A sat nav built into the Touch would clinch a purchase for me!
What do you think they'll put into a new iPod Touch??

I doubt it as well. It doesn't really make sense for the Touch.

Anything is possible I suppose but I doubt it. The more likely update will be an increase from 32GB.
However, when the application store opens in June there could be some interesting 3rd party solutions which will add some cool new functionality to the ipod touch.

I hope so. If the touch is essentially an iPhone w/o the phone, why not? And after Apple management dubbed the touch "Wi-Fi mobile platform"...

The touch is more than a media player. If the touch continues to share most of its hardware with the iPhone, it's possible.

Doubt it... but with the cratering price of flash, 32GB is all but certain and 64GB or even 96GB is reasonable.

Is the price really cratering? I have to say we've been remarkably lucky as tech enthusiasts to see tech prices continue to decline even as the weak dollar and inflation hits most other sectors of the economy.

I don't think so, there's little synergy in adding that to the itouch. Makes little sense to me.

If a 96gb version came out with GPS i'd certainly purchase, but it'd end up costing absolutely tonnes in which case I'd have to wait.

Wouldn't it go 32GB - 64GB - 128GB? Not sure where 96GB is coming from? GPS would be nice on a touch, but more likely to be on the iPhone first and then the touch at a later update.
