Something that I thought was long lacking is now possible; buying movies via Apple TV directly instead of going through iTunes.
Will you buy via iTunes or through your Apple TV?
I bought a couple of movies, but have since decided against it; at least until the picture quality improves greatly or I can buy HD movies at a reasonable price. For example, I downloaded Pirates of the Caribbean II from iTMS and got a lower quality picture and regular stereo sound. In some cases, I can get the DVD for the same price and for the additional cost of a couple hours' time via Handbrake, encode the DVD at a higher bitrate and get 5.1 surround sound.
For me, the convenience of downloading doesn't make up for the lower quality.

I prefer the Digital Copy method and I do own an Apple TV.

It's not worth the cost when I can usually grab the DVD for roughly the same cost. A digital version should be between 5-10 dollars IMO.

Agreed...here's another example of the physical media being cheaper than the download:
Tomb Raider/Tomb Raider Cradle of Life double DVD set at Amazon: $16 (including shipping!)
Separately via iTMS: $20
I don't think it takes a genius to figure this one out. I'd really like to see the cost go down and the quality go up--I can't believe that digital distribution costs (bandwidth, hardware, etc) exceed physical distribution costs to this extent.
You give me a DVD-quality download for half the cost of the physical media, and I'm in.
