Hello all
When I plugged my iPod shuffle into my iMac tonight to be charged, iTunes wouldn't recognise it and its light is flashing amber. I didn't tell it to change to "disk". I may have left it on accidentally all day, but I don't think I did.
I'm not sure how to stop it flashing amber. And I can't make iTunes recognise it at all. I've tried reinstalling my software both using CD and web update.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
idiane

Thanks, but I've had it plugged in to the USB port I always use for over two hours now. The iTunes isn't recognising it. I'll try to leave it in overnight, but the computer will go to sleep and I'm not sure if it charges when that happens. This hasn't happened before. Ah well, maybe all will be okay in the morning?? It's midnight here.

Have you tried turning the switch to "Off" mode for a while, then turn it on again?
Or how about trying to use the iPod Updater app on it?
Good luck!

It won't charge a shuffle if the computer is put to sleep.

Well, AFAIK some computers do provide USB power while in sleep mode.
