HELP!

My 1G iPod has the wrong software (2.3) on it and stopped working... The latest updater installed the wrong version on my old iPod.
Is there someone who keeps all the updaters on their mac?! It installs itself in your
Applications->Utilities->iPod Software Updater folder..
Anything from 1.0 to 1.5 is good. I only have them from 2.01 and on.

I've tried every other option and no luck...

Hmm how is it possible that you even got 2.3 on your 1G iPod? Apple's software updater detects the iPod you have and puts in the proper one.

Anyhow, download the combo updater from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

According to the site, the updater contains 1.5 for your iPod, and that should work just fine.

Yeah that actually sounds more likely Sorry dude.. Bring it to a nearby Apple store to have it checked? Hope it works out well for you!

Thats what I did, but some how there's 2.3 on it.
Also did a restore a couple of times but its 2.3 anyways...

see what the tech's at the apple store can do...
