Well? I voted no, it's too expensive.

I think the store is just fine. I don't think .99 cents is too much for a song, I don't buy full albums unless I like at least 3/4ths of the songs on it and that's rare anymore.
I have not been able to find several songs though so far that I want:
"Hollywood" by Thin Lizzy
"Jungle love" by Steve Miller
Just to name several. I wonder why?
Other then that I like the store.

Well, perhaps I only think it's expensive because I pay a fraction of that per song. I pay about five to ten cents per song, with my preferred format and bitrate, and no DRM restrictions.
Where I shop, they have Thin Lizzy: link. Bunch of albums. Dunno which has Hollywood.
They also have Jungle Love by Steve Miller on four of his Greatest Hits albums. Here's one: link.
It costs 2 cents a megabyte. That's why I think the iTunes Music Store is expensive.
By the way, the cost for the entire The Very Best of The Steve Miller Band album is $1.78, at 192 kbps encoding (for any format). If you prefer 128 AAC, the cost will be even less.

Of course, the legality of AllofMP3 is still in question.

Expensive? I used to buy 45s for a $1.50 back in 1980! 99 cents is a deal as far as I'm concerned.

I had practically stopped buying CDs but I've bought more in the iTMS than I had in the past couple of years combined.

I would use it if it was available in Hong Kong.

This is from their FAQ:
Is it legal to download music from site AllOFMP3.com?
All the materials in the MediaServices projects are available for distribution through Internet according to license # LS-3М-05-03 of the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society. Under the license terms, MediaServices pays license fees for all the materials subject to the Law of the Russian Federation "On Copyright and Related Rights". All the materials are available solely for personal use and must not be used for further distribution, resale or broadcasting.
Users are responsible for any usage and distribution of all materials received from AllOFMP3.com. This responsibility depends on the local legislation of each user's country of residence. AllOFMP3.com's Administration does not keep up with the laws of different countries and is not responsible the actions of non-Russian users.
My interpretation of that is that they're allowed to sell/distribute the materials through the Internet but in no other way. Their responsibility ends there, as the material is in the consumer's hands now.
Russia's copyright policies clearly aren't as restrictive as North America's or the UK's.

Yep, sorry. Unless you can find an extremely good friend in the U.S. who is willing to buy music for you, you're out of luck until Apple brings the iTunes Music Store to China.

Well, the fact that they're the only music store that sells albums by the Beatles suggests something isn't quite right.

I spend more on a soda at lunch. $.99 is fine by me, and I don't have to buy all the other useless garbage on the album - just the song(s) I want.

In question ?
No, it's not. They are NOT allowed to sell outside Russia, but they still do. They are operating off a loophole in the Russian law. And Russia is doing sh!t about it, why would they ? They are all run by the mafia anyways...

I use the iTMS, I rarely enjoy every song on an album so buying per track is fine for me. I do wish older stuff was only $0.75 since older CDs at my local record store are cheaper. You only pay full price for the lastest and greatest... same goes for DVDs so why not the iTMS?
