How do i create new playlists?

I'm a newbie. Just got an Ipod on saturday and can't figure out how to create a new playlist and put songs in it. Please help Do i just drag the files i want in a playlist

I will make the assumption that you are using iTunes.

1. From the File Menu choose "New Playlist"
2. Give it a name
3. Drag the songs/items from your Library that you want to the new playlist.
4. Plug in your iPod (it should sync)
5. If it doesn't sync, you can do File, Update iPod

Doing this from memory so don't shoot me if I missed something.

on your ipod you can click and hold the select button (for about 3 seconds) on a song or artist/album and it will be added to the on-the-go playlist. you can then clear or save the playlist.

all on your ipod.

Now me and my iPod need to have a little chat as to why my podcasts don't always sync. Probably a user error (me).
