While the intel switch have any affect on the ipod? I'm guessing not. But just curious.
Powerbook G4 1.5 ghz, 1gb ram, 64 VRAM----5G Ipod and a Shuffle

If anything it will help with the 'Halo' effect, but I shouldn't think it will have any negative impact.

Some are saying that the iPod line will also be powered by Intel chips.

A CPU like xScale would make a good candidate for a video iPod. Intel chips will also support DRM, which would make it a lot easier for Apple to roll out a Movie Store.

The chip inside the iPod will be invisible to the user. As long the iPod does its job, who cares what is underneath it? If the rumors about Intel processors replacing the current Texas Instrument processors then we might see more powerful capabilities like wireless, DRM, and video.

It's the same argument with the Intel chips replacing PowerPC. As long as the user interface is superior, I'm gonna keep buying an iPod.

if thats true, Intel is suportin mac, that means that microsoft doesnt have the monopoly at all
