Why in October?

Anyway, a Video iPod seems reasonable. There has to be something that keeps the sales up.

Damn, Creative has drawn first blood. Some Engadget readers are reporting seeing the Creative Zen Micro Photo (what's with those stupid long names?!) on sale in the UK.

It's a 6GB player with an OLED screen... going for £220.

Creative and Uncle Sim are close to being non-players in the game.

I would think if there's an iPod update and there should be just to keep things hopping, it should be either in September for back-to-school goodness or a little later in the year to coincide with Christmas shopping.

Edit:

That is one of the fscking ugliest things I've seen in a long time. And £220 isn't cheap either.

Wall Street Journal says video ipod in September.
They also reported that going to apple.com/video would take you to a page asking for authorization instead of a page not found error (which it is back to).

Well yeah, but I believe the people will still buy it. (Especially people from you-know-where since it's a 6 GB drive and comes with a truckload of features that no one ever uses. Heh.)

I wont touch any of those even with a stick.
