im debating whether or not i should get an ipod. i work out alot and i need something durable that can handle some activity. i really like the ipod for its high memory capacity, but i need something thats not gonna fall apart in like a month. ive read some reviews on amazon.com about people's ipods freezing up and losing all the memory and stuff. has anyone here had the problem? ive heard of these multigeneration ipods so idk if thats an old problem that has since been corrected. i see lots of people with them so i know they cant all be problematic. can u guys and gals share ur opinions and experiences? nebody have to get theirs replaced or serviced? did the problem come back?

Go for it, kill bill. They might occasionally freeze up, but you just hit the reset button and all is well, music intact. They're great little devices. My iPod was my first portable music player, and I absolutely love it.

For working out, why don't you consider the iPod shuffle? It might have a small memory capacity, but you can change what's downloaded to it every day, so each time you work out you hear new tunes.

Yep, get a shuffle to start out with then move up. Maybe when the next round of iPods come out, likely at the end of the year.
