I have my iPod playing when I walk around campus, and when I sit down to use my PowerBook, I just keep using my iPod. I'd love to use iTunes as much as possible, but it seems as though it serves no use to me anymore, other than for downloading music. How do you all use iTunes?

I don't really use my iPod that much, unless I'm going running. And sometimes even then I don't bring it with me. I guess I'll be using it more often when school starts and I find my way around the city, but until then, I pretty much just listen to music when I'm on my PowerMac, through iTunes. And I'm not someone who likes to constantly have music playing. I really only feel like listening to music at night after work, whilst browsing MacNN.

I was exactly the same way, listening to tunes only when browsing the web. Everything changed when I thought, "Hmm...Let me try playing my iPod on my way to class!"

everything i listen to is stored on hard disks now. i live in a 1LDK apartment and use itunes with the ibook hooked up to the stereo. it'd be nice to have a wireless remote for itunes, for sure, but my place is small enough that it doesn't matter. ipod is for when i head out / work out.

I guess my problem is that I don't like the concept of having to take my headphones out whenever I go to even adjust the blinds. When I'm using the iPod in my pocket, everything is easier. Of course, I miss out on iTunes. The horrors of life .

Wow, this is like "keyboard vs. mouse". WTF ?
They serve different purposes, although some things can be done with both.
