Can I connect things like USB pen drives to the newest version of iPods and transfer files back and forth between them? If so, how fast is that, relative to transfering between iPod and (for instance) a 600mhz G3 iBook? The reason I ask is, I will be getting a new Mac soon and can take advantage of Apple's "Student Union" iPod rebate. I already use a flash-based personal music player, which I need during physical activities (thus, I can't switch to a HD-based player). I would like to use the iPod only for storing files and occasionally transfering them via USB to my flash-based player. Is that what "USB-on-the-go" and/or "USB-host" allows?
