iPod mini static while searching... is there a fix?

	Hello, I bought the iPod mini within the first month of it's release. Shortly after, I began hearing about the problems associated with the headphone jack, including hearing static when searching for songs or the songs just stopping in mid play. I never experienced this until now. I have AppleCare for my iPod mini so I'm hoping Apple will help me out with this without too much hassle. However, has anyone experienced this and received the fix? Can anybody shed some light on this problem as well as what Apple will do about it? thanks in advance!
