My 40 GB iPod photo has failed to turn on 2 times in the last day without doing a reset of the iPod. Should I be worried? It is annoying to say the least. Other than that it works fine.

Your iPod is probably fine. I would unplug it from power, reset it, and then plug it back into power. Also, syncing it with your computer couldn't hurt.

What exactly do you mean by it failing?

Turns out I only need to do a reset when I turn it off manually and don't let it power down on its own..... At least that is what I can come up with. About 2 months ago I had an issue with it skipping songs which was fixed by a restore.....
