I made a folder for some playlists in iTunes 5.
On my iPod 20Gb color those playlists are not in folders but "as usual" directly under playlists.

There is an update pack for iPod at http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
but as it says there:

iPod Updater 2005-09-06 includes new iPod Software 1.0 for iPod nano. iPod Updater 2005-09-06 contains the same software versions as iPod Updater 2005-06-26 for all other iPod models.

and i have the 2005-09-06.
(Just to test i installed the upgrade, but that did not change a thing)

Now, the question is:
Is playlist-folders supposed to work for the iPods as well?

i agree with your guess.

i plugged in my 60gig 4g color ipod and it said it was up-to-date.
hopefully there will be a new software update soon that will give regular ipods folder playlists. the world clock wouldn't be bad either.

I want to know for sure if the Nano supports these or not. I'm guessing it does, but I can't find a solid answer.

I hope folders get added to the iPod sooner then later. I really like folders.
