The date and time settings on my newly purchased ipod nano are constantly resetting themselves to 12:00 am and January 1, 2000 whenever my nano is turned off, either by letting the nano sit idle or if I hold the play button. After waking the nano (preceded by the apple logo), the date and time settings are reset. This happens every time despite the battery level, whether it is fully charged or partially charged.

All other settings remained saved, and all music/photos/contacts/calendars live peacefully on the nano.

I would appreciate any guru advice from the fine sages of the MacNN forums

My clock keeps resetting to Cupertino. Maybe it is a clock problem?
