Its cool and all, and I would buy it. I really would! Except that the darn thing is HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE. I don't know about most people, but $200 for 2 gigabytes is too much for me. I saw a creative muvo FM the other day that was 5 gigabytes and was $100. It is also smaller, though thicker. Also, The display, though cool, is not needed at all on an MUSIC player. What, do you WATCH music? I really dont look at photos on an mp3 player anyway. They could have put a black and white version with reduced cost or something. Flash is good, but expensive. I just don't see why anyone would want to buy this version specifically besides from being small, which the muvo could mostly match it. I guess the only thing great about it is it is tiny with a good user interface. Except, with a 2 gigabyte capapcity, if you have trouble finding songs that you cant use some folder type interface, then you need to organize better or something. I usually buy music cds and rip them because i would hate it if my hard drive crashes and i lose my music. Now, if this used a hard drive that could hold like 5 gigabytes at $200, I would think about it.

Yeah, $200 for the best MP3 player on the market, that is the smallest and does photos.... holds more than any of it's nearest competitors.

Go away troll.

Do some research and report back with som facts.

Shut up budster101 who doesnt know how to talk decently. Who the hell cares about photos on a music player? Also, what facts? ALL of what I said is opinion and none of my FACTS are wrong. Probably the only fact in my post would be it has a color screen and it is small and it is $200 and it uses flash and it uses itunes. IS ANY OF IT WRONG!?!?!? HUH!?!?!? I have now proved that you are a baised person who is loyal to anything with an apple logo and cant stand ANY critism.

But...

Except that the darn thing is HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE. I don't know about most people, but $200 for 2 gigabytes is too much for me.
Save your money?

I saw a creative muvo FM the other day that was 5 gigabytes and was $100. It is also smaller, though thicker.
Buy it.

Love the interface (sarcasm) Just my opinion.

Also, The display, though cool, is not needed at all on an MUSIC player. What, do you WATCH music? I really dont look at photos on an mp3 player anyway. They could have put a black and white version with reduced cost or something.
You should write Steve Jobs and tell him... I think you'll be proved wrong. Photos are the next logical step in the MP3 player. Who would go back to black and white? Would you buy a B&W Television? After they came out with color? Do they make B&W TVs anymore?
Nope.

Flash is good, but expensive. I just don't see why anyone would want to buy this version specifically besides from being small, which the muvo could mostly match it. I guess the only thing great about it is it is tiny with a good user interface. My god, you don't talk like you write do you?
The iPod interface is easy to use and it's the best on the marketplace. You have shown yourself to be a Windows user by these comments. Do you guys want it all to be difficult?

One big problem with the Muvo FM. No iTunes on it.

"You need to organize better or something"... Whuh? It is organized better on the iPod. You pay a premium for it. Especially when they just come out. That's technology for you.

Hard Drives are not as reliable as Flash, and it would not be that size either.
The mini was the same price when it came out at 4gb. $249.00 This is the same price with color, photos, and other extras which you have yet to find out.

You did realize there is a 4gb model for $249 right? Out of stock everywhere.

you say that a screen is essential, yet the ipod shuffle doesnt have one. Im sure it can fit one, as other flash players have one too. An interface is not really what i need that much either. Lets just say I would play a music player the way people use an ipod shuffle. Also, if it is in your pocket constantly, why would you need such a great one? Fortunately, I dont need it because my phone does all that. Now if my phone didnt do that, I might consider it. Also, although I use windows, the other computers I have use linux. I use windows for games mostly.

The shuffle only holds 120 or 240 songs. No need for a screen... try and memorize the order of 500 or 1000 songs sometime. The shuffle plays straight through your list or in random order... and is meant for a market segment that includes those who like to play outdoors and workout. Generally active people with no need for a lot of songs.

Just because YOU would not need one doesn't mean the majority of those out there don't as well... try and understand the marketplace and demographics because you seem quite ignorant of many basic facts.

Great, your phone does it all... Now you admit that you have an MP3 phone and don't require any MP3 player and you use Windows, as if I didn't already guess that several posts ago, and now you say you play games... really? Suprise-suprise.

Basically you are a troll without a clue.

As expected, You talk like an ass trying to offend people. Also, I do not have an mp3 phone. I have a phone capable of displaying pictures. Also, The basic nano is only double that so it also doesnt hold a lot more songs than a 1gb shuffle. What does hold a lot of songs from your definition would probably be a 10-60 gb ipod, which i used have one of.

Wonderful for you. How does that impact anyone in the demographic for the iPod nano. Did I call you anything? Maybe it's just I told you how it was and you can't face it.

The nano holds 500 songs (2GB) or 1000 songs (4GB). 25,000 photos.

But the 60 GB iPod is also a Photo iPod.. and why would you need that? You have a phone that does photos. I think you've successfully talked yourself into a corner. Want to try that again?

Got a snapshot of your 60 Gig iPod? Use your phone and post it...with this thread in the background. Not that I don't believe you.

Note that you misunderstood. I wrote I have a 10-60gb ipod and i didnt specify which one (I had a 10gb one). Also note that I said used, because it broke and I sold it as such on ebay.

Buying a BMW is stupid too when you can get a Hyundai for a third of the price. What's your point?

If you think the Nano is too pricey, buy the competition.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Part of the Apple ethos is COOLNESS
Some are fortunate enough to have disposable income to buy non essentials such as a Nano.

Poorer people can consider functional equivalents such as Muvo( or whatever it is called) or Windoze

Basically examine your needs, what you will accept, your wallet and then make your choice.

Let others do the same and hey, CHILL!

What's the point of posting this? Do you think someone at apple will read it and take your suggestions? If you like another player better, then buy it!

Also, why do so many ppl think that the bigger the GB the better? I had a 15GB ipod once and found out I didn't need 250hrs of music with me ALL of the time. I'm always around my laptop and a 1GB shuffle is plenty for me.

The reason it still seems expensive is because it's completely flash based. You won't see any similar priced 4gb flash players on the market.
