Hey i was looking at a kid with a nano and was wondering was the nano really made for people who enjoy music or just used to show off to your pals. im not saying that it doesn't look cool but for someone who really enjoys music and activly listens to their ipod would a nano be the best choice?

It depends entirely on how much music you want with you at one time. If you can get by with 4GB (or even 2GB) then the nano is just fine. It performs just like a normal iPod in every respect (aside from the fact that a few accessories won't work with it).

The nano is a great replacement for workout warriors who wanted something a little more like a full-blown iPod.
The full-blown iPods are nice but because they are hard-drive based, it is not recommended for serious workout warriors.

Could someone tell me how much overnight shipping for a nano would be from the Apple Store?

I believe it is an extra (on top of the free shipping) $15.00.

(edited by author due to potential rudeness)
Apple provides free GROUND shipping. Overnight costs extra. Pretty standard stuff with many companies.

The 4gig Nano is my first iPod. I have been eyeing them up for awhile, but this one had the most attributes i was looking for. Flash based -no moving parts, form factor, still holds 1000 songs? cmon... So far so good.

I am religously working out the thumbs on the Playstation, Xbox, and Gamecube constantly.
I sure ain't gonna be classified as a serious workout warrior but I get my weekly runs done with my nano. I was just too skeptical to do it with the full-sized iPod.
The flash storage in the shuffle and the nano makes it more suited to workouts. But I have to say that the shuffle is the more durable and the wiser choice.
