I haven't been using my iPod much up till now (I got it about 2 months ago). I've been noticing some strange behavior now that I've been using it more. It seems to be shutting down from time to time so no buttons (other then the flip hold on and then off, followed by menu+select held down to do a reset) will turn it back on. At first I thought it may have been a drained battery, and maybe it got turned on in my backpack, so I used the hold button to keep it off. But just tonight after using it, I shut it off, and it wouldn't turn back on normally. I reset it, and the battery was at about 60% (how quickly does the battery drain without use anyways?), so it isn't a power issue. Any ideas?

Could be a bad connection to the battery. I would open it up and inspect the wires.

Considering it's still under warrenty, I would not open it up. Take it to an Apple store (or call) and explain your situation.

Yeah, I think I will if I see it happen that much more. What's the warranty on it? I found a 1 year warranty card in my packet of iPod/iBook stuff, and I'm not sure which one it's for. :-P
