Ive had my ipod mini 4G for about 8 months now, and this is the first problem ive had with it.
when i finished using it the other night i turned it off like usual, it was probably half full battery. and when i woke up in the morning i couldnt turn it on, so i left it on the charger all day. but when i went back to get it the screen was still blank. the backlight isnt working either, its like its completely dead.
it hasnt been dropped or anything....i cant figure out the problem.

Try a reset. Hold the menu and center button for about 6 seconds (or until the Apple logo comes on). Failing that, try a software restore (you'll lose everything on the iPod though). Download it from apple.com.

Failing that, take it in for repairs/replacement as it's still under warranty.

thanks ill try...i just had to put all my stuff back on the comp so i dont wanna reinstall....

my father doesnt have the docket...idiot.

oh resetting it worked! ah i know what i was doing.....i was trying to reset with the menu and the play button.
