Forgive me if this was addressed elsewhere, but how, exactly, can one add their own video clips to then new iPod Video? Is this accomplished by adding the clips to iTunes 6? If so, what is the correct format for the clips in order for them to display properly.
Second, now that this new 'Pod supports video, can you import video clips from a digital camera along with stills using the Apple Camera Connector? I sure hope this is an available function. It would be a waste were it not.
I appreciate any feedback.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

If quicktime can read it and export it, you can view it in iTunes.
Just open the video in QuickTime and export it, then drop it into iTunes.

The iPod supports H.264/AVC/MPEG-4 at 320x240.
So you simply need to export into these format(s) using the QuickTime Player Pro or one of the ten thousand shareware apps that are going to suddenly appear!
You'll be able to drop it into iTunes and possibly they'll also sync from the Movies folder.
Either way, it'll be easy... it's Apple.

Cool info, gang.
I just wish that iPod/iTunes could play and support avi files.
Think this is possible with a firmware or software update?

Possible yes, but considering that Apple wants to promote Quicktime, I'd say it's about as likely as the iPod supporting WMA audio files.

Anything that can be opened in QT Pro 7 can be exported out.
I have some fun family clips I made with my little Canon point-and-shoot camera. They're 30 seconds clips and can be opened in QT player. I'm gonna transcode them into the iPod.
