Engadget claims that the shiny new video playing iPods can't fast forward or rewind.
Can anyone confirm? How crazy is this!?

Yeah, I saw that too. I think they mean that you can skip forward and backward in a video file, but not actually make the video go faster one way or the other. If that makes sense. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can move back and forth within a video file, just like you can with an audio file.

id have to watch the prez again but i swear i saw steve skip ahead on one of the video demos

Yes you can skip forward and backward in a video. When you scroll the wheel the bar will come up and the point will move forward or back. Once you stop the video will goto that place in the video. However the video will not move forward fast like a tivo for example.
