I'm about to buy an iPod, but since most of my music/recordings [90%+] are mixed in some fashion ... I'm not sure how current iPod owners [all 30 million +] have gone this long without needing this feature from Apple.

For those in my situation, how do you deal with the lack of gapless playback? Is there something you do to make it play back seamless? Do you have a 'method' for organizing your music, or importing them that makes them playback seamless?

Any tips would be great Thanks!

You can combine CD tracks when you rip, which just gives you an album long single track.

Other than that there aren't any work arounds.

I would submit a request for gapless playback here. My request got closed as duplicate, but hopefully with enough people they would understand this is a desirable feature.
