My ipod recently started showing the wrong album artwork... I have it correct in iTunes but for some reason my ipod shows it differently. And it's not for all bands. just some. I tried updating it again, switching it to manual and back to automatic and everything but it still does it. And it seems to be the same artists/albums every time. any suggestions?
This is what i did before this happened in case you're interested or maybe it will help....
A while ago i was having problems with my ipod not showing album artwork at all. It would be working and then when i updated it, only the album(s) that i just updated would show artwork and everything that was on before just wouldn't show artwork. And it wasn't like there was a blank square where that artwork should be...it showed it as if the artwork wasn't even there or as if the ipod isn't compatible with album artwork...
so i called applecare and after a long time of transferring me to different ipod specialists they told me that it was because not all of my files were AAC.(which I don't understand but whatever) so i converted my entire library to AAC (even the stuff that was already AAC because he told me to) and i never really had a problem after that. Then about a month ago a friend sent me some MP3s and nothing happened until just recently. One artist wasn't showing the album artwork but only sometimes...And sometimes i would play the first song on the album and it wouldn't show the album artwork but the 2nd track and on did show it, and other times the whole album showed nothing.
So to fix this issue before i always deleted everything off of my ipod and put it back on, which always worked. So i did that and that's when the current issue started. It just started showing the wrong album artwork even though it's correct in iTunes!
I don't know if there's something wrong with my mac or my ipod but this is pretty weird...
has anyone ever experienced or heard of this? Any suggestions you can give me are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
also, how do i completely reset the ipod back to factory settings? I know the middle button/menu button reset but isn't there a more complete way to do it on the computer? the way i know doesn't get rid of all of your songs.
