Since I've been trying for the last day or more to post a new topic without any luck, I'm recycling this old topic of mine that no one responded to. I don't think the system will allow me to change the title, though. Anyway, since these are selling out quickly (it looks like the AV cable sold out while I was wrestling with the forum issues

), here's the post I've been trying to make.
I thought people might be interested that HP (
http://www.shopping.hp.com/) is having a clearance sale on their iPod accessories. As you may know, HP had licensed the iPod and sold their own version of it for a while, but they have stopped.
I placed an order a couple of days ago and it arrived this morning. Some things are already sold out, but there are some pretty good deals to be had.
Here are a few:
Belkin TuneDok Car Holder for iPod: $10 (regularly $24.99)
Belkin TunePower Rechargeable Battery: $40 (regularly $99.99)
Apple iPod Photo AV Cable: $7.20 (regularly $17.99, works fine with 5G iPod for video)
Belkin Mobile Power Cord for iPod with Dock Connector: $12.00 (regularly $29.99)
Apple iPod Power Adapter (firewire): $23.99 (regularly $39.99)
Apple iPod Dock Connector to FireWire and USB 2.0 Cable: $7.20 (regularly $17.99)
Apple iPod Dock: $16.00 (regularly $39.99, for older models, but seems to work fine with my 60G 5G iPod)
HP does charge shipping if your order is under $100 or so, but they don't charge tax, at least in my state.
I've been wanting to get an external rechargeable battery for a while, so when I saw the Belkin TunePower for $40, I snapped it up. I knew that it didn't last very long compared to many of the other external batteries available (8 to 10 extra hours, according to Belkin), but it's small and looks pretty good. And it actually works with my 60G 5G iPod using the 20GB sleeve, (and my 40G 3G iPod as well, using the 40GB sleeve). The 30GB 5G iPod might be too thin. I don't know.
I did a battery life test on the 5G while playing video, and so far the results are pretty impressive. I haven't been doing this very scientifically, but I started with a fully charged battery and iPod and played video pretty much constantly and it lasted for over 10 hours. I think this is one of the only extended batteries that will work with the new iPods, so this is good news. It looks slightly goofy when on the black iPod, but much better than the other ones I've seen.
