My iPod Nano refuses to turn off. It has the screen "FireWire connections are not supported...." on it. It'll go away after pressing the center button a few times, but it still won't turn off.

I've tried doing a reset (from the iPod utility) and various other things. Anyone have any ideas? Strangely, it's never BEEN plugged in with a FireWire cable...only USB 2.0.

Did you hold the play and menu buttons for about 6 seconds to reboot it manually?

Yup. It won't respond to that.

Let the charge run out, and try again after recharging it. If that fails, take it in for repairs/replacement.
