This happened once before about 2 months ago. But it happened again. My ipod won't turn on. I have never dropped it or have never exposed it to any liquid. It was at half battery (same as last time) and when I went to go and charge it and plug it into the wall (with the charger it came with....) 2hrs of charging later the ipod won't turn on. I tried different outlets but nothing.

I'm not sure if the ipod is meant to 'drain' the battery at any time but it seems to be a problem. The last time it happened I plugged it in and then it started charging again. Does anyone know why this happens? Or how to fix it? I got all my infomation back the first time keep in mind.

Thanks

Sucks for you guys...

Seriously though, I have no idea. I think this happened to 2 of my friends, though. They had to get them repaired.

Surprisingly, all it took for my iPod to be restored was for it to be restarted (by holding select and menu). I was in total shock when my brother brought it back to life, since it appeared to be completely dead. Hopefully yours is frozen too, Cloud.

This can happen A LOT when listening to enhanced podcasts and/or audio books. If you pause it in the middle of the file, leave it long enough it "sleeps" (but doesn't turn off), there's a chance it will freeze, and need to be rebooted by holding SELECT+MENU.

My 4G (color/photo/whatever) did it all the time, and there are discussions on the apple boards about it.
