just saw on the homepage that sonnet is selling replacement batteries for 1-4g ipods with "up to 78% more battery life". i looked on the website, and the ipod i have (4g) would only get 20% more battery life. the 1-2g gets 78% more, 3g gets 30% more, color/photo gets 28%, mini gets 50%. each ipod battery sold has a different capacity for the different models. does anyone know why the 4g has the lowest capacity and the 1g has the most? i was really tempted by the 78% more battery life, but after i found out mine would only get 20% i was a little turned off because thats only like another 2 hours, which is definately not the 20+ hours of play time the website advertises.

I think the 1-2G iPods have more room inside so they might be able to squeeze a bigger battery than the more recent iPods. I'm getting ready to order a replacement battery for my 3G, but think I'm going to go with a NewrTech, cheaper, lasts just as long and it's available now.

yea i get the 1-2g bigger battery thing, but the 4g and the color should be the same size though, yet it gets a higher capacity battery. in theory, shouldn't you be able to order the color battery and stick in in the 4g because it is the same size, or are there really different specs on the batteries used inside.

I'm not sure about the precise specs of both but, even if they're about the same size on the outside, they might be different on the inside...
