When I go to artists on my video ipod, i have two of the same names of the artists. How can I edit the artist list to move some files around and get rid of the doubles of the artists?

Thank You

You do all editing of song information in iTunes. If you have two seemingly identical artists, one of them probably has a space at the end of the name. Delete the space and iTunes will consolidate the two.

iTunes is pretty much THE iPod management tool. You can transfer photos, view and edit information on all your songs (use "Get Info" to view and edit details), and other important tasks.

One thing though: you can't do any iPod tasks unless your iPod is plugged in-including changing settings that control how the iPod syncs with iTunes. Once you get your songs set up the way you want (playlists, genres, etc.) and initially sync the iPod, you may want to think about whether you want iTunes to immediately sync every time you plug the thing in.

You plug it into the Mac that's running iTunes and iTunes does the rest. If you're using a PC, you have to load the driver program, but that's on the same CD that iTunes comes on.
