Ok, so I've had it for just over a month, and if it is already broken, that's a joke.
Anyways, I'm trying to update the songs on my ipod, but it doesn't say the copying song 40 of 60 or whatever at the top, it only takes a minute (as if it's updating nothing) It says 1.2 mb used, 1.82 free gb. Not a single song on it. When I go open all the songs with itunes like I normally do, and then click update my ipod, nothing happens. What the hell is going on? It's not like I'm new to updating my ipod, it was just routine. Now I have no songs, and I can't seem to add any? I'm getting pretty pissed, and when I get like that I won't be able to figure it out. help please.

It's a little hard to say given the information you've given us, but if it doesn't seem to be working correctly, why not try restoring it to the factory settings with the iPod updater software? Then reload your music.

Can you run that by me real quick?
I'll try to explain the best I can:
heres what I normally do:
Right click and open a song.
it is now in my library.
Open all the new songs I want to update.
Update iPod.
Done.
now, when I have my library of songs, and go to update my iPod as usual, it just says "updating iPod, do not disconnect" as usual, but it only take a few seconds and says it is complete, ok to disconnect. What the? No more updating song # x of XX amount? And my list of songs on "defaults iPod" is empty, while I'm using 1.2 mb, 1.82 gb free?
I just don't get why the songs aren't showing up on my ipod like they should.

Try what Icruise suggested, restore you iPod back to factory settings with the iPod updater then if it doesn't work get back to use.
And by 'information' that usually means things like what version OS are you using, what generation iPod, what version of iTunes etc.

What format are the songs in? Are they iPod-compatible (i.e., not Ogg or WMA, etc)?
